Dave Cappucio Bio

David Cappuccio, a native of Pittsford, NY has been involved in the western new york soccer community for the past 30 years.

During his youth, he played for the Rochester Junior Rhinos, the only team from new York West to ever win the Premier Club National Championship.  As a member of the Olympic Development team Western New York, David was selected to numerous Region One (Northeast 16 states) teams, and one national pool camp in Bradenton Florida.

David had a productive four year division 1 soccer career at Colgate University, where he recorded the most shutouts and had the highest save percentage in school history.  The Raiders, during David’s time at Colgate, won two Patriot League championships and competed against top schools such as Duke, Boston College, and South Florida University in NCAA tournament action.

Following graduation, David went on to the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, became a Dentist and started a family.  More recently David has spent a lot of time playing in the Buffalo and District Soccer League and running men’s league teams.  He has also been active coaching the Hilbert Men’s Soccer team and his children in the Orchard Park House League.
